O hi, didn’t see you there! Yeah, I switched the language settings in my head to English. Why? Because it’s a goddamn awesome language and I don’t want anyone to come here and not understand a word I’m saying. So from now on I’ll be writing in English but that doesn’t necessarily have to mean I’m ditching Dutch or my Dutch visitors. Every now and then you’ll probably see some Dutch pop up in the comments section and that’s ok! I still love Dutch! So that’s what the title is all about, I immerge myself into another language….but there is more to it!

MERGE is my new demoreel where I show off the skills I’ve learned thoughout 2 years of motion graphics in Devine. It’s basically a boy-meets-girl story in a surreal universe where everything is dynamic. We follow the male character as he passes several places before finally meeting with his girlfriend. At that moment they collide, share memories and emotions and eventually become one identity. I used Cinema4D for all the 3D graphics and After Effects for all post-production. Special thanks to Elise Hoste, who has been so kind to parade in front of the camera and Thomas Heylen for lending me his top notch camera.
